Health and wellbeing

Funding level: Up to £1,000

Description

Crewkerne Rangers Football Club require new goalposts to support our Mini Soccer teams. We only started with youth football last season, and our 2 current teams use cheap plastic goals that we bought to get started - but due to their condition already need replacing with match standard goals. We also need another set of new goals so that our current teams can move up to 7-a-side football next season while still providing the required equipment for our new Under 7s teams to play 5-a-side.

In total the cost for these 2 sets of goals will be £1000 and will support our 20 current Under 8s players plus our Under 6s who will join the league next season.

Crewkerne Rangers FC are a family run club that formed in 2008 with a single Men's team. We added a Reserve team in 2011. Our Youth sides started in 2016 with two Under 7s teams. This season we have formed our 3rd Men's side, a Ladies team and started training our Under 6s. In addition we have run a Soccer School for the last 2 summers and also provided free coaching activities at community events. As you can see from this timeline due to the demand in the area we are growing very fast, and our equipment needs are increasing at a faster rate than we can fund using club money alone - that's why we need to reach out and apply for grants such as this.

We really need your votes to make this happen! We are the only football team in Crewkerne and without these goals we cannot continue to grow the club to support the demand we've seen over the last year.

Thanks for taking your time to read this, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact Chairman Mark Holton using the details opposite. If you've already supported us by voting - THANK YOU! It's the support from people like you, and all in our community, that make all of this possible!

Location: Crewkerne

I'm proud of how much we've been able to do for our community over our 9 year history. We're always involved in community events, have supported local groups and done fundraising for local and national charities. Topped off with providing the only youth football opportunities for kids in Crewkerne.
