Community support

Funding level: £10,001 to £25,000

Chester Live is a community based, live music event which will take place from the 21st - 24th June 2018 across the city of Chester.

The culmination of the festival is the Chester Live Street Festival which will take place on Sunday 24th June 2018 on Brook Street, Chester.

At the Chester Live Street Festival we will promote all forms of local live music to the local community, and to specifically focus on creating an event which incorporates the diverse communities within the Brook Street area of Chester.

The project's main aim is to bring a community cohesion through live music, and will introduce people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds to local live acts from Chester and surrounding areas.

The event will build bridges across communities and generate a 'feel good' factor for an area of Chester often ignored.

As a free live music event, the day is open to attendance by people from all backgrounds, ages, ethnic groups and disabilities.

We intend to deliver community based live music activities where attendees will be able to take park in musical workshops, art and craft based activities and instrument building activities.

We will also have 50+ local artisan stalls at the event selling produce and products from local businesses.
