Health and wellbeing

Funding level: Up to £1,000

The team was formed in 2003 and the club got off the ground in the local League, on a pitch provided and tended by a local farming family. A committee was formed and funds raised for equipment and kits etc. Over the years the team has progressed up through the football pyramid to the top junior league in Cornwall and are also running a reserves team that are now in division 4 of the same league. The changing rooms were built by supporters and members of the team and an old second hand gas boiler was sourced. The club has been run by volunteers, raising money to keep the club going and also by kind donations and sponsorship. The facilities are also used by other clubs in the village and the local youth club. We require funds to purchase essential equipment to keep the club running.

Moment of Pride

I have been involved with playing for the club for over the last 12 years and am now a committee member. It has been great to see how the club has evolved over the years and feels like one big family and has now become the hub of the local village community with supporters young and old.
