Inclusivity

Funding level: £1,001 to £5,000

Description

Sparcs is a support group for parents/carers and families living with autism and other related conditions, the aim of sparcs is to run regular events and activities in local community for our families/carers to attend with their children/young people in line with their individual interests and stages of development. We also hold sessions for our parents and carers which include coffee mornings, training and information sessions, this helps build friendships, confidence and develop strategies to implement in their home life and community which in a neurotypical world can be a challenge for all of families/carers.
Due to the bespoke nature of our sessions the cost for venues, instructors and facilities can be of a higher cost for most families who have more than one child and also many of our families are in receipt of carers, so with these extra costs it is the family/carer that incurs higher charges.
To summarise if we are successful with Aviva community fund, we would use any funding given to us to reduce costs for all family/carers which will take financial pressure off our families/carers and make it more accessible and help us reach more families for the future of Sparcs.
