Community support

Funding level: Up to £1,000

On the timeline project wants to celebrate the positive power of music in the lives of people and communities. We want to share songs, exchange ideas and create stronger and better community. We meet and stay in touch to share songs and ideas about music from different parts of the world and different generations. We want to to inspire each other about the empowering ways adults and young people can communicate through music, educate each other and build positive and rich relations. We want to use music as a positive way to build relations between people of different sex, ages, culture. We can anticipate community-building and strengthening through music.
We want to teach and experience life-affirming, multicultural musical forms for, by, and with young people and adults. We want to provide a safe environment to exchange songs, provide teaching tips, share advice for songwriters, encourage performers and spread the word, using traditional and social media about ways music makes a difference in the communities. We aim to provide music workshops, teach singing and playing musical instruments and eventually build a band and perform in different community venues. We want to run weekly music workshops and occasionally perform before audience. We also need to buy equipment- speakers, amplifier and mixer. Within a year we want to involve over 200 people and encourage them to take part in the project regardless of age and abilities. We have people with passion who work as volunteers giving their time and hearts and we cooperate with third-sector partners who support our project.
